We’ve proudly worked with Airbase UK Interiors for over five years, delivering a range of high-quality printed items that support their brand presence at industry events and exhibitions.
Our Approach:
Airbase UK Interiors approached us for a repeat order of branded presentation folders, something we’ve produced for them several times over the years. These folders are a key part of their event and client-facing collateral, used to present company information in a sleek, professional way that reflects their premium positioning.
Our goal was to deliver two sets of folders - one for their parent brand, Airbase, and one for the Aeroco Group brand - with exceptional attention to finish, colour consistency, and durability.
Execution & Delivery
We printed both folder designs in-house on our HP Indigo 7900 using high-quality 350gsm premium silk stock, paired with matching 250gsm inserts. Here’s how each version came to life:
Aeroco Branded Folders
These folders were designed to convey innovation and sophistication - key traits of the Aeroco brand.
- Digital print with stepped inserts: We used our HP Indigo 7900 for its exceptional colour accuracy and ability to handle short-run, high-detail jobs with ease. This allowed for a bespoke, low-volume production run without sacrificing print quality.
- 4-colour process with metallic silver ink: Instead of printing gold directly, we created a custom effect by underprinting metallic silver, then layering 80% yellow and 20% magenta on top. This technique produces a more dynamic and eye-catching metallic gold than standard 4 colour process - ideal for a brand that wants to stand out.
- Gloss laminate finish: Chosen for its high-shine, protective qualities, gloss laminate gives the folders a sleek and modern look while shielding the print from handling wear—perfect for use at trade shows and client meetings.
- 350gsm silk stock (folders) + 250gsm (inserts): We opted for premium silk stock for a smooth, luxurious feel that enhances print detail and colour vibrancy. The stepped inserts not only look professional but help guide the reader’s attention through the folder contents.
Hand-finished assembly: Every folder was accurately creased, cut on our digital cutting table and then assembled by hand using strong double-sided tape. This manual touch ensured perfect alignment, clean edges, and a high-end feel that automated finishing can’t always achieve.
Airbase Branded Folders
The parent brand required a more classic, understated look while maintaining the same level of quality.
- We used the same premium materials and production techniques as the Aeroco version but removed the metallic ink to keep the design clean and minimal.
- Matt laminate was chosen over gloss to provide a softer, more tactile finish that suited the Airbase brand’s more traditional tone. Matt finishes also resist fingerprints better, perfect for a product that's handled frequently.
